Accident and Incident Management
It is estimated that 1.6 million accidents occur each year
in the workplace with a cost to industry of around £700m.
It is, therefore, important to identify the cause of accidents
so that they can be prevented in future and to reduce injury,
ill-health and cost to your organisation.
In order to identify the cause of accidents, your organisation
should investigate those that occur in the workplace so that
preventative measures can be put in place to reduce the risk
of them happening again. In addition to this, more serious accidents
(as defined by RIDDOR*) must be reported to the Enforcing Authority
so that they can be investigated to identify trends and to ensure
effective control measures are implemented. Rocks are able to
offer you a web-based Incident management system to record and
keep track of all accidents and incidents throughout your organisation.
If required, Rock can also arrange for a qualified accident
investigator to assist with your more serious accidents/incident
investigations.
* RIDDOR = Reporting of Diseases & Dangerous
Occurrences Regulations 1995.
