Insurance Mediation Directive (IMD) Compliance
In January 2005 businesses involved in general insurance had
to be authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA);
i.e. your organisation need to comply with the relevant rules
of the FSA. This has an impact on both your organisations business
records and capitalisation; it imposes compulsory professional
indemnity insurance requirements and introduces new compliance
checks which will need to be made as well as regular reporting
of financial matters.
It is not difficult to achieve compliance with the FSA rules
if your organisation is well structured with adequate records
